(Français) Une belle histoire de transition

The SARC in Brittany developed, restructured and soon owned by its employees thanks to the Transition Manager NIM Europe.

In 2018, we proposed Jean Louis Vanhee as transition CEO to the Société Armoricaine de Canalisation, a family company, which was in decline, to develop it. In a few months, he restored profitability to the company (42 million euros, 215 employees). It has profoundly transformed the activity to make it eco-responsible thanks to the participation of employees who propose “eco-ideas”. On March 15, 2020, a transmission procedure opens so that the 8 managers but also all employees who so wish can enter the company’s capital.

This great adventure made the front page of the local press. Jean Louis thus joins the 24% of our Interim Managers whose success allows them to continue their career in the company at the end of their mission.

Véronique Maignant, 17.01.2020

Convinced that the sustainability of the Armorican Pipeline Company (Sarc) depends on responsible development and environmental transformation, Jean-Louis Vanhee, new general manager, has created for 5 months an internal emulation and debate on eco-responsible behavior . A dozen “Eco-ideas”, supported by employees, have already been validated.

Owned for three generations by the Chupin family, Sarc (Le Rheu-35) specializes in laying pipes for wastewater and rainwater sanitation networks and more recently for dry networks dedicated to electricity. and fiber optics. With a turnover of 42 million euros, it employs 215 people throughout the Grand Ouest. The family holding also created in 2010, Rennes TP (Turnover: €2.6 million), a subsidiary which, unlike the Sarc, is aimed at individuals and on a much more limited perimeter. In October 2018, the shareholders called on an interim manager, Jean-Louis Vanhee, to turn the company around. Having proven himself, he was confirmed in his position as Chief Executive Officer: “I want to share the conviction that the sustainability of our Group depends on sustainable development: our water business is a major challenge for the planet”, emphasizes he. Other convictions carried by this team leader: “today, the actors are technically equipotential, it is the behavior that will make the customer’s choice. The economic balance of our activities involves energy savings, waste treatment, water savings, … Not to mention that we are sorely lacking in manpower”.
